Veranda beach is a place I have become rather fond of the last few years. My in-laws rent a cabin there every summer and invite the whole family along. The thirteen of us cram together in the cottage and make some of my favorite memories together. It is a great time full of swimming, and boating, and tubing, and floating, and eating, and playing, and sleeping, and water trampolining, and kayaking, and turtle hunting, and fishing, and eating, and reading, and hot tubbing, and snacking, and more eating… you get it, lots of fun.
This year it was even more fun for me as I had some past clients staying there who had asked if we might be able to squeeze in a session while we were up there. So that is just what we did. It was their last night there, after a wild late night party ;o) the kids were all ready to be photographed.
This family also goes to Veranda Beach every summer in their own cottage, and have lots of fun and happy memories down there as well. We decided to take some photos by the beach, and some by their cottage. The cottages there are all great colors, a perfect backdrop. Every time we’re there my husband always asks me which color I would pick for my cottage. I rather like their blue one.
) I’ll start off at the beach though:
When I did their photos in the fall somehow I missed shots of each of the kids with their mom, so I was happy to get a few of those this time. They have a pretty beautiful mommy)
But mostly we concentrated on the kids this time. I couldn’t believe how much they have already changed in the short time since I’d last seen them. Crazy how fast kids grow!! I love this first picture. There’s just something about it.
Beautiful kids. I love her deep brown eyes and his electric blues. We got a last few shots at one of my kids favorite spots- the playground, by the pool, with the water trampoline in the background. And then they headed of for their promised treat of rootbeer floats. Mmmm, I tell you, we love Veranda Beach.
