baby love {day one photography, surrey bc}

Someone is pretty excited!!

I mean REALLY excited!! Why, you ask? I’ll give you a hint… this little guy has something to do with it:

You guessed, she is a brand new big sister! This wonderful family has made their appearance on my blog many times. I first met them about two years ago when Isabelle was a wee babe herself, and I just loved them immediately. Since then we have had… I think 4 sessions together, and they have all found a spot in my heart. This being said, when I got the news that Landon had arrived, I took the first chance I got to get to the hospital and meet the newest member of the family. And he has already stolen my heart.

I love babies fresh from the womb. Their wrinkly feet, and dry soft skin. The way they just smell like a new baby. I kept smelling my sleeve after I left. I love new babies. I love those first hours in the hospital, falling madly in love with this tiny person you just met. And that was written all over this new family.

(Eeek!!! How adorable are those kissy lips?!?)

My friends can’t stop me from coming to the hospital and going a little snap happy on their newest arrival, but now it is also something I am starting to offer as a session. I am calling them “day one” sessions. There are a few rules. You have to be delivering at Langley or Surrey hospital, and it is a fairly casual experience. I try my best to come the morning after baby arrives, possibly dragging a child or two with me (but they are on their best behavior, right Michealah?:o) ). I stay for 30-45 minutes and take off again. If you want more information on these sessions, shoot me an email, and I will fill you in. In the meantime, a few more photos.

I remember Michealah telling me, multiple times, and very emphatically, that she was not going to be having another baby. They were thrilled with their sweet girl, and she had no interest in going through pregnancy again (and I SO do not blame you for that!). So I was both surprised and beyond thrilled when she told me they were having baby number two. And so this photo brings tears to my eyes. Aren’t they just perfect? Made to be a family of four:o)landon3

So happy. I am just so happy for you all. He is beautiful. I can’t wait to get to know this little guy! Heartfelt congratulations, and I will see you very soon for his newborn session!!

Allison - Obviously agree with you that they are the cutest little family of four. Such a blessing and you always capture those moments with your camera…a sneak peak into their little lives. Love them!!
