This is the second little two year old that I got to photograph on his actual birthday. I think that is pretty special. I always *try* to photograph my own kids on their day as a way of celebrating them. So I love that others allow me to be a part of that special day as well. Two may be a little young to totally get the birthday concept, but it’s never to early to start special traditions! And this mommy had some fun ideas up her sleeve. Here is the adorable, rambunctious
) two year old himself:

He is so cute!! And had so many different expression and so much energy, as is typical of two year olds. So I fully enjoyed our time together. And their family was so playful together. I love the shots of them just playing together. Love. Family. Fun.

And then came the balloons. I love balloons in photos. And I love color. The best of both…

So, I mentioned it was his birthday, right? Well, apparently this mommy is rather well known for her cakes. Or so I have learned. I am definitely hiring her for future birthday cakes!! So to celebrate, she brought a beautiful cake along for a bit of a cake smash, or you know, a cake touch
) as was the case this time. Still fun. I would have been sad to see this cake smashed.

And now just one last photo that I loved. I love nothing more than the feel of my two year old’s tiny little arms wrapping themselves around my neck. The feel of my sweet children’s hugs. There’s just nothing like them. And the sweet love that goes with them. But those tiny arm hugs, oh how I wish I could keep them for always. So here’s one little armed hug I captured. Love.
