I have had some pretty easy going newborns to deal with, I admit, but this one was amazing. I think it was my quickest newborn session ever, simply because he was so content. A typical newborn session lasts a little longer than most sessions. There is (almost) always soothing of the baby, feeding the baby, burping the baby, calming the baby, etc, etc. And with older siblings, there’s even more to take into consideration. But this day, everything just worked perfectly and I was able to make both kindergarten drop off and pick up in plenty of time. And that’s what it’s all about really)

This sweet, easy going, adorable wee little guy? Meet Cody:

We started off with some family and outdoor shots in their yard as it was a beautiful day

Then we headed indoors to get a few with dad and mom

I love seeing a new baby enter a family. Whether it’s a first baby, or a third or fourth, it changes things. The dynamic is different. I love seeing the new mom and dad fall in love, and see that love in their eyes, their face. It’s a beautiful thing.
