fabulous foursome

I must preface this post by mentioning the fact that that this mommy is convinced that her kids were so horrible that there could not be one good picture the whole day. And I am, very happily (and a little smugly) about to prove her wrong.:o) I honestly had a very hard time narrowing down what images to post, so I have tried to cram in as many as possible.

Now, Susan and I go way back. She and my sister went to bible school together and practically lived at each other’s homes after they got back. Which sort of meant that I had another big sister. I spent a lot of time with this girl, and adore her. Her sense of humor often had me rolling on the floor (or running to the bathroom:o) TMI?), she had many a kind word for me, helped me through some heartaches, truly, a sister. But… time and circumstance have taken us apart, and she now lives in Edmonton with her sweet family. This was the first time we have seen each other in years, and let me just say, it was SO wonderful to see her, and her kids and spend a little time together. And she is just one of those friends, with whom it felt like no time had passed.

Okay, I know she really is, shall we say, anxious to see these pictures, so here are a few of my favorites of the day:o) I’ll go in order of the day, just to make it easy. Enjoy!

I just love the interaction in the next photos. It was so fun to see Susan as a mommy. It was so easy to see how they adore one another. I wish we lived closer.

Now, I will admit to you, that this little girl was always on the move. She’s very similar to my little guy, so I just went with it, and I actually love the next shot, of her on the move:o

crawl

Okay, I’ll throw a couple individual shots of the littles in. First the big brother (and one of the most articulate four year olds I have ever met!!)

And now the little miss. The squealer. Or maybe it was more of a shriek ;o)  (How’s that going? haha) Love those lashes!!

izzie

A few more family shots. (Are these great or what!! Leave lots of comments to prove her wrong people!!! I know… comments are really hard to leave, but I have live 82 spam messages in the last three days, surely we can even things out a little. A little?)

allans

These last two were the very last shots of the day, and I just love them. I love the color, the people are pretty fab too I couldn’t choose a favorite, so I figured I would just put them both up.

brightblueOkay Susan…what do you think? I think you all are fabulous and I LOVED getting to spend some time with you, so thanks for wanting some photos taken:o) I hope you are happy, and proven wrong. And I hope I get to see much more of you in the coming years.

One final note – we took off on a little family weekend away so I have neglected my emails, but I will answer them all tomorrow. Hope you all had a great weekend too!!
