Now I know why I wanted to have the month of December off. It is so crazy busy!!! And I always know this ahead of time, and plan for it, but it just seems to get busy anyways. I even had all my Christmas shopping done in November (which is way good for me) and still, the days are flying by and almost nothing work related is getting done! We had two Christmas parties last weekend, two this weekend, a total of three Christmas plays and so much more.
For the most part all I have taken on this month are newborn sessions. Which is sort of fitting seen as Christmas is all because of a certain newborn many years ago. So I still have much to post, but for today…a precious newborn named Kayla:

I find this time of year not quite as easy for any sessions, newborns included. With less light to work with, cooler temperatures, and not being able to venture outdoors. But I sort of like the challenge of it all
) It generally makes me do a little more exploring, and thinking outside the box a little. And when it comes to photography, I have to admit, I love a challenge.
This day wasn’t too challenging however, this sweet little miss was so laid back, as were her parents, and that always makes for a nice newborn session. We only had lighting issues to work with, but we worked around those and managed to get some beautiful images. Kayla is their first baby, but you wouldn’t know it, as they already seemed so comfortable with each other.

Isn’t she cute!?! I love it when mom and dad let me have a little snuggle
) She is such a sweet little thing! Here are a few more favorites

Thank you both for inviting me into your home, and putting up with all my gear
) I’m glad we were able to find a time that worked! I hope you are all settling in nicely and have a wonderful first Christmas together!!
