kieran’s one {baby photography, langley bc}

I am a little in awe of how fast time is flying by lately. Sometimes I think “I can’t believe I’m already here”, in life. With three kids, two in school, and the littlest growing far too fast for my liking. I dreamt about these years. Couldn’t wait until they were here, and now I hate how much I take this time for granted. It really is such a fun, albeit exhausting, time in life. A little while ago I read this quote on Tara Whitney‘s blog:

“Normal day, let me be aware of the treasure you are… Let me not pass you by in quest of some rare and perfect Tomorrow. One day I shall dig my nails into the earth, or bury my face in my pillow, or stretch myself taut, or raise my hands to the sky and want, more than all the world, your return.”                                                                                                                                  -Mary Jean Iron

It actually made me cry. So I wrote it out and keep reading it so I don’t forget. I LOVE this time in life. I adore the ages my children are at. I want to treasure every moment. To really live in the moment and not just survive the days.

All this to introduce mister Kieran. I honestly can’t believe it has already been a year since I learned of his arrival, and snapped this sweet newborn lying in his daddy’s fire helmet. Can you believe he fit in a helmet?!? Well, we decided to stick with that theme:o) Check him out a year older, a year bigger, a year cuter, a year sweeter:o) It’s been a big year for this guy.

What a difference a year makes. I dropped in on Keiran’s party to do his photos. He had all his cousins there for the festivities, so we took the opportunity to grab them all and get a few photos. Eight children, all together, and they did fabulously. And I don’t think there could be a more adorable group of cousins.

I can’t get over the cute factor.

A few more of the birthday boy:

k7Oh how I love one year olds. This little guy is so adorable and so much fun. We finished off with a few quick family pictures before Kieran announced that he was done:o) He did amazingly, especially considering he had had a packed day of first birthday fun.

Thank-you Kim and Justin for inviting me to be a part of celebrating Kieran! Thanks for letting me bring my little ones along too, they keep asking to go back and play:o) (and thanks Tanya for watching them:o), you’re the best!!)

Happy Birthday Kieran!!
