morgan {newborn photography, surrey bc}

Wow, it has been a long, long time. Or at least it feels that way to me. I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and New Year. Mine was perfect. I spent loads of time with my four favorite people. I even went so far as to put my computer completely  away so as not to tempt me away from my family:o) And it was bliss. No emails, no posts, no photos to edit, and most importantly, no time wasted:o). We went tobogganing and bowling, saw a couple of movies, went out for some family walks, visited Captain kids and oh so many friends and family. It’s so nice to just be able to put life aside for a couple of weeks and just enjoy each other.

But now, it’s back to the grind. I still have a couple of sweet newborn sessions to post and I wanted to do so before we get too far from Christmas as they both had a bit of a Christmas-y feel to them. The first of the two is sweet little Morgan.

I met Morgan’s family last spring when we did some family photos. Her big brother arrived a little early and therefore spent some quality time in the NICU so we didn’t get to do newborn photos with him. That made it all the more exciting that mommy made it full term and we got to have this session. Here are some more favorites of this sweet girl:

Now I have to mention that Leanne and Kevin (parents to these two cuties) are two of my new heros:o) Not only did they have a premie baby that spent weeks in the NICU, but 12 months and 12 days (I think that’s the exact count?) later they welcomed sweet Morgan. How’s that for close?!? I am in awe! I can just imagine what great buddies these two are going to be!

(I love how you can see mom in the background holding Morgan in the first one).

We had to sneak in a few shots of the birthday boy as well, and this was my personal favorite. (I love this boy’s smile, and it was not hard to come by!!)

And lastly, that Christmas-y feel I was talking about, how great is this for a stocking stuffer!?!

I still have another week off before I pull my camera out of hibernation again, but I will have another post before then. I am so looking forward to all my upcoming sessions and to spring with all its warmth and color. I also got spoiled this Christmas with a few new “toys” that I can’t hardly wait to put to use. (on that note, I am selling a Nikon d70s and a couple of lenses. If anyone is interested message me and I can send you some details.) Hope you all had as wonderful a holiday as I did! Be back soon!
